Description

Over 10 modules the course covers an introduction to the history of reviewing film in particular and a look at then and now. The student has accompanying tasks to do to follow the continuity of the course. There are guides and advice for anyone who wants to work for themselves, run a blog or site, or work for a paper or another site.

There is a free guide to the world of online film sites from all over the world. This is a dynamic subject with many blogs and sites run by enthusiast graduates of media or film. So there may be some of the sites on the list now defunct.

The course covers style, house rules, what to expect from this culture, and aspects of genre and choosing to write within genre. There is the option of YouTube, or written reviewing - and this is coverdd in the course modules.

Who is this course for?

There are numerous post grads in the media studies world who do not have access to this kind of knowledge, or retired people who would love to hone their writing skills and turn themselves into a cult.

Requirements

None. A love of film and the arts. Some knowledge of both is undoubtedly useful, as is an appreciation of genre.
